OUR PROGRAMS
YTIA provides workshops, special events, volunteerism, and support services to assist youths transitioning out of foster care.
EDUCATION is the key to successfully transitioning out of foster care

Support System.  For those youths who just need a listener, just want to talk something through, just want someone to hold their hand, or just want a little friendly advice, we're here.  It's just that easy, call and we'll listen or talk through an issue or concern, or pray with those who ask.

Workshops & Conferences allow youths to practice the skills that they have learned and develop the skills needed before transitioning out of foster care.

Legal Counseling (not Legal Advice) is offered to youths who request it.  YTIA works with youth to get them to see the consequences of their actions and help them to understand how their present actions affect their future.

TEAM YTIA provides youths with the opportunity to give back to the community, through volunteerism.  This is a time to give to others in need.  But as an added benefit, the certificates received from YTIA for community service can be used to support a college or job application.

Limited Financial Assistance. Through our "Youth Fund Request" one-time or short-term financial assistance may be available. We also offer the "YTIA Be Young Educational Scholarship" and the "Quick Start Scholarship" (see "Scholarships" under this tab).

Our "Growing and Preparing (G.A.P.) Tool-Kit" contains information and documents that will allow youths to prepare to transition out of the foster care system as they grow into adulthood.

Our G.A.P. Publications:   "Dollar$ & Sense", Crime & Consequences", and "Life After Foster Care 1.0" are written in plain language to be used as teaching tools.
