Take the time today to encourage and not discourage, to build up and not tear down, to help and not to hinder. Esteem others better than yourselves.
Our community is facing a crisis in our foster care system!
Youths are leaving the foster care system ill prepared to face the challenges of the real world. This ill preparedness leads to: unrealistic expectations, a lack useful life skills, a risk for homelessness, difficulty meeting basic needs, a risk of substance abuse, and puts youth at a higher risk of sex trafficking.
What can you do?
SUPPORT YTIA as we bridge the gap and ready youths to prepare to leave the system.
YTIA is very grateful to our Community Partners (past & present): Working in collaboration with our community partners, other agencies and non profits, YTIA will work with to help youth ensure they are ready before it is time for them to transition out of the foster care system. Thank you Morningstar Storage, Home Depot (on Cambray), CSC (Charity Services Centers, P.A., IBC Bank, PAL (TDFPS Preparation for Adult Living), St. John Baptist Church (Leon Valley), Grace First Baptist Church, Bexar County Children's Court, SAPD, BCSO, Charity Services Center, Bexar County Children’s Court, SJRC Belong“ and the Bexar County College Bound Docket for their support.
YTIA is also pleased to be partnering with SJRC Belong, as we teach a variety of workshops to youth in their care. Check us out on Facebook!
