Bridging the Gap Between Care and Independence
As Texas has transitioned from traditional foster care to Community-Based Care (CBC), communities now play a greater role in preparing young people for successful futures. While many organizations provide housing and placement support, one critical need often remains—readiness for real life.
YTIA exists to fill that gap.
We equip youth in substitute care with the knowledge, life skills, and confidence they need to successfully transition into adulthood. Through practical workshops and real-world education, we help youth understand their rights, responsibilities, opportunities, and the everyday skills needed to build an independent future. We believe that education is key, knowledge is power, and preparation changes lives.
At YTIA, we don't simply help youth age out of the system—we help them step into adulthood with confidence, purpose, and a support system they can rely on.
If you're ready to prepare for what's next, we're ready to walk alongside you. Contact us today to learn more.

How You Can Support
Unconventional, interactive workshops that encourage youth ages 13 - 19 to "think" and develop skills while having fun. Youth are taught to use skills they may not even realize they have to solve real-world issues and deal with challenges they will face after leaving foster (substitute) care. |
Team YTIA
Team YTIA volunteers are always ready to go wherever we are needed. Notices will be posted in the "Bridge Builders Newsletter" so keep your eyes open for exciting opportunities. We love our community and we want to make a difference. New members are always welcome on our Team; just send us a "Contact" or give us a call. |
