YTIA bridges that gap between foster care and the real world of adulthood.
Between foster care and the real world of adulthood (our communities) there is a gap. A gap that leaves youths unprepared when they exit the system. YTIA bridges the gap from Dependence upon the foster care system to Independence by utilizing an innovative "real world" approach. Youth in the foster care system need to hear and face the truth about life after foster care. YTIA keeps it real. YTIA seeks to identify youth who want to be prepared when it is time for them to exit the system, desire and are motivated to "make it on their own" and works with them to help ensure they understand what it takes to successfully transition into adulthood and not simply age out of the system.
