"YTIA" pronounced "Ya-T-Uh" or "Y-T-Uh." Either way it means the same thing: Youth Transitioning Into Adulthood.
Youth aging out of the foster care system need a support team they can utilize and rely upon when they are "on their own." YTIA is that TEAM. YTIA seeks to identify youth who are aging out of the system and want to "make it on their own" and works with them to help ensure they successfully transition into adulthood and not return to be part of the problem but to be part of the solution.
From Dependence to INDEPENDENCE
People perish when there is no vision. God has given YTIA a vision to build a transitional living complex called "The Dorm," where youth exiting the foster care system can live, grow, and develop the skills they need to successfully transition into the "real world." As you can imagine, it will take money, time, and working together for this vision to become a reality. That is why YTIA has begun the "Just A Dollar" campaign. While we are waiting for everyone to donate their dollar, YTIA is working to ensure youth are ready to enter "The Dorm." by teaming up with other agencies in the community to make this vision a reality
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3
