Our community is facing a crisis in our foster care system! Youths are leaving the foster care system ill prepared to face the challenges of the real world. They have unrealistic expectations, lack useful life skills, are at risk for homelessness, have difficulty meeting basic needs, are at risk of substance abuse, and are at a higher risk of sex trafficking. It's time that we do something to ensure young people are ready when it is time for them to transition out of the foster care system.
What can you do? SUPPORT YTIA as we bridge the gap and ready youths to leave the system.
YTIA is very grateful to our Community Partners: Morningstar Storage, Home Depot (on Cambray), IBC Bank, PAL (TDFPS Preparation for Adult Living), St. John Baptist Church (Leon Valley), Grace First Baptist Church, Bexar County Children's Court, SAPD, and the BCSO for their support.
